The last day of 2006 has begun. it was a mix of fun and everything for the last 364 days. I´m not here to remember what all i did in this year, even if i wanted to it would be difficult, coz of my bad memory. Well as usual 2006 too passsed with a lot of bad things and a few good things.
wat i did in this pst months a few i remember,

Got myself a new Job,
Got a Couple of new friends,
Broke my leg,
Sridevi´s Marriage,
Taj Mahal,

and a bg year end. A real busy one. work will start approx in another 6 hours then i don´t know how long it will go.
A bit funny thing tho, may not for me but for most of the rest of the ppl,
This year 2006 ends on a holiday and 2007 begins with a holiday. I don´t see this happening this everyyear. Even if new year day is not a holiday it will be holiday this year coz of Id.

Yesterday i registered for Imagine Cup. i have been registering for it for the past 2 years but this is first time i am going to participate in it. Dnld´d a logo and competitor badge. Don´t know what´s gonna happen. but will try my best to win there. Nothing of note is happening.

yesterday was christmas. i did send a mail to everyone in my contact list. that was the only thing i was able to do. But then, wat else can i do. Yesterday it seems the foundation work was going a little too slow, so only the main foundation was completed, but still the 3 other foundations remain. Hope they will be completed today. the machine has arrived. and so anytime (actually 29th or 30th) we´ll be installing it. Hoping to have a nice adventure. bye

A new machine is comming, means i´m gonna have a busy year end. i have never had a busy year end. some work on it have started and am gonna see thru it and learn anything more if possible. will be daily updating with anything interesting happening there. Yesterday, was like no other day. it just started like a bad day and then went on so smooth like a butter.
The system didn´t start up. i just wanted to see mail. but my beautiful girl refused to start.
I just wondered. I have never ever diagonised her at such speedy manner as yesterday.

It took me nearly only an hour to diagonise wat it wass. a faulty ram, as the suspictions were earlier.
now wat am i to do to make my girl sing. I don;t knwo. chek the purse u dummy.
had enough cash, so after the customary visit to site and then back in the evening decided to scout for a new ram.
took the help of one of the new found contacts here in agra, a browsing center owner, and ended up the right stores within an hour or so. got a 256mb DDR400 ram.

now what abt the old memory can it fixed, it still has got guarentees. they say it would cost 200 to 300. i don;t know weather i should trust them, for it his her memory. asked a friend for suggestion. waiting for him.

Yesterday was Jsri´s Bday. wished her as though in hurry coz i was not ok with the fact that my girl wasn´t singing. then had a good talk with her @ night. Now my girl´ is singing fine. may be she´ll be with me the day i go to cyberolympics. may be......, just ,,, maybe.

I don't know wat am i doing, or why am i doing something. It is same like most of my final year college days. I just feel disconnected. Wat am i to do? again reinvent myself and go on for another year, and again next year end feel the same. Some thing is not right, some thing which i have been searching was not found or have i found it and lost.


The one thing which i love the most as many of might know is my computer. and everyone also know that i'll do anything to have it with me. Again my computer is in trouble. i don't know what is the problem with her now. may be something assosiated with her memory. or be her backbone.

watever. - a simple word.

I thought of writing so many things, but forgot everything as i sat down to write.

was it about....................something like cricket or my work or wat.... i don't remember.
Am not a great writer or something or the one with great memory.

Yes i found Monalisa. One of my school mates a few days back in orkut. she is working in temonos and is at present in Cyprus.

and Christopher is thinking about buying a car with a max price of 3 laks.

Except Emily Edward Jeyarathnam, came out of nowhere, and made contact. wow wat a surprise it was. and aparna is getting engaged this Jan and her marriage is in July. I don't know weather i'll be able to attend.

Work at last

ok. i have been writing there(msn spaces). sorry.

i have been vetti after i came to join the work in october begining after the disastrous fracture. I know i cannot run more. I cannot bowl my fastuns mixed with rong´uns. I know i gonna miss an entire world of fun that can be had with my legs. still ya see there is this other world in which also i can have fun. i´m gonna live there for a while, try to make my legs more stronger so that it can handle the assault when i return to bowl my rong´fast´uns. a new weapon in my aresnal.

well after a long time today work came. nearly after 2 and half months after i rejoined work. It was the 750 hours maintenance. nothing great ,but still some thing is better than nothing.

it is boring to sit without doing anything. you see.

My leg is again creating problems, but i know i can overcome. and i will. and i got a new phone connecting and net connection by airtel. well then off i go now. and iĺl update this blog frequently again.

PLUTO or 134340?

On August 24th, the International Astronomical Union redefined what is

required for planet-hood. This had the result of reclassifying Pluto

as a dwarf planet.  But now they have even gone too far as renaming our beloved planet from PLUTO to 134340.  Isn´t there no one who is there ask these guys what the hell they are doing?

Bluetooth File Transfers in Linux (to and from mobile)

I think i have solved the problem of file transfer between my Sony Ericsson T610 and Fedora Core 5 Linux PC
I will give the complete process as i had done. But, I cannot guarentee that it will surely work for u. It worked for me.
Thanks to all those guys @ linuxquestions.org who helped me out with suggestions. This will lwork with mostly all bluetooth mobiles. But b4 u begin, check if your bluetooth dongle or device on your systesm is detected/compatible with linux.

For this you will not need any extra software. everything is present in FC5 itself. u should have installed teh BlueZ packages. i think there are 4 packages.

First we need to start the Bluetooth Service
at the terminal type

/etc/init.d/bluetooth start

alternatively this can be done from menus by going to System --> Administration --> Services and starting the Bluetooth service.

then we need to start the hcid. at the terminal

hcid

Now we have started the device. now we need to get the addresses for the communication to take place. for that @ terminal type the command

hcitool dev
the output will be something like this. the 00:11:B1:xx:xx:xx is the address.

[root@mysty ~]# hcitool dev
Devices:
hci0 00:11:B1:07:A2:BD

now you will get your system´s address (if u use a dongle it is the dongle´s address). now to find the devices present in the range.

[root@mysty ~]# hcitool scan
Scanning ...
00:0F:DE:33:BC:F8 Aba's

now linux will scan and give you the addresses of all the devices present within range. the output will be something like above. it wil also give the name of the device if available

note down the address you will need it later.

now you need to create a node for this connection to occur properly. but b4 that check out weather the mobile and system can talk with each other by pinging.

l2ping it wiil be something like this.

ok now to create a node for the device. at the terminal

mknod /dev/rfcomm0 c 216 0

now we have to bind the mobile device to this node.

rfcomm bind /dev/rfcomm0 00:0F:DE:33:BC:F8 1

that number 1 @ the end is the channel which we will be using for the communication. use your phone´s address.

you can use the rfcomm show command to see all the rfcomm devices bound to your system.

now you can start sharing files between your system and mobile.

use gnome-obex-send to send a file to your mobile.

to send from your mobile to pc first you will have to start the Obex server.
if you are unable to start the server check for a bluetooth icon near the time in the panel. if it is there close it and then start the server. to start the server

[root@mysty ~]# gnome-obex-server

now you can send files from mobile to pc by choosing send --> via bluetooth option.

may be now i have to search for a decent GUI for doing this, so that i can recommend this to some of my friends.
